Sarah Herrell
Partner / Operating Manager at The Grill at Quarterfield Station
Sarah begun her journey at The Grill at Quarterfield in March of 2003 as her first job. She has worked through each position at The Grill over her 22 years of employment bringing her to the current status of Partner and daily Operating Manager. She has specialized in catering and operational management for the last 15 years. Durning this time Sarah has been able to learn and proactively work on the business bringing her to the point of partnership with the original owner and his son.
While spending most of her adolescent and adult life working at The Grill, Sarah attended community college at Anne Arundel Community College gaining her associate degree in Business Management with a focus on Financial Accounting. With this knowledge, Sarah was simultaneously able to work at Gvozden Pediatrics as their accounts manager. Handling all bookkeeping and assisting with medical billing.
Sarah and her partners at The Grill begun a succession plan three years ago to transfer ownership. Through this they were able to successfully devise a buyout plan that was both feasible and beneficial to the new partners as well as the original owner. They worked closely with their accountant and lawyer to layout a step by step plan that would allow for the success of their business well into the future.
Sarah enjoys engaging with the community through the restaurant to represent what is a core value at The Grill- caring for others through service and kindness. She also enjoys her time spent involved with the Chamber of Commerce to make new connections and educate herself on other businesses and what the community needs as a whole.
